ORDERING
We shall only deliver to households with the geographical area specified on ou Home Page, or by arrangment only to other locations. Orders received from outside the specified area with no prior agreement will not be fulfilled Each week, the deadline for ordering will be stated on the Home Page together with the delivery date. Be aware that there may be a delay in receiving emails containg your order which is beyond our control - it is therefore advisable to place your order well within the deadline. Regular (standing) orders are accepted, but it is your responsibility to notify us if you wish to terminate your order or cancel for reasons of holidays etc. by 6pm on the Wednesday preceding delivery. Where we are not notified, you will be expected to pay for the goods that have been ordered.The prices quoted on The Village Shop website for meat, fish and cheese are estimates only. The final cost based on actual weight are made known to you upon delivery.We reserve the right to refuse to accept orders from any customer; considerations of delivery or payment problems may give rise to such a refusal.
YOUR PAYMENT
All prices are quoted in pounds Sterling. Prompt payment upon delivery is required and can be accepted by cheque, cash (Pounds Sterling or Lewes Pounds), or by direct credit transfer. If we encounter problems in receiving payment form personal cheques, we reseve the right to pass on any bank charges incurred back to you, the customer.
DELIVERY POLICY
We have no additional delivery charge.
You are responsible for making adequate arrangemnets to receive your delivery, and for giving us appropriate instructions as to where to leave your delivery if you are out. If you expect to be out, we recommend that you leave a cool box out so that we can safely leave any meat/fish/dairy products. In the event that your delivery is stolen from your doorstep or damaged whist there, we do not accept liability. We usually deliver on Fridays, but if there is any change to this we will let you know If we are unable to deliver due to circumstances beyond our control such as bad weather, vehicle breakdown, traffic congestion etc, The Village Shop will not accept liability for any inconvenience or loss that tis may cause. You will not be charged for any goods that you did not receive
REFUND POLICY AND CANCELLATION RIGHTS
If you are unhappy with any of the products that we deliver, we will be happy to offer a full refund, replacement goods, or a credit against your next order - whichever you prefer.Please notify us immediately if there is any problem with your order so that we can contact the supplier and remedy the situation promptly.Due to the perishable nature of the goods that we deliver, cancellations or postponements of your order must be made by 6pm on the Wednesday preceding the Friday delivery, otherwise you will be charged for the full cost of the delivery.
